Prof. Dr. Sandro Furlan
Professor Sandro Furlan is Head of Relations with Foreign Universities at Eni Corporate University. He joined Eni, the biggest energy company in Italy in 1997.
He is responsible for projects of cooperation with foreign universities that actually are implemented in Mozambique, Ghana, Kazakhstan.
He holds a degree in Political and Economic Sciences(University of Triest, Italy), a Master in Energy Economics and PhD Studies ( Institut Francais du Pétrole, France).
He is also invited professor in Geopolitics of Energy and Energy Companies Strategies in several Universities (University of Turin: 2000-2005; Mgimo-Moscow: 2003-2014; Ifp School: 1997-; University E.Mondlane-Mozambique: 2012-)
He has been senior researcher at the IFP School from 1992 to 1995 and head of Italy studies and transports at the REXECODE-Paris ( French Industry association Studies Dept) from 1995 to 1997.
His research activity was oriented on external costs related to energy (EU-DG TREN ExternE-Transport project and Alter-MOTIVE project), Natural gas markets( EU DG TREN) and on Geopolitics of Energy.
He spent research visiting periods at the University of California-Davis, USA; Tellus Institute, Boston, USA; MIT-CEEPR, Cambridge, MA, USA.
